Organizations in Muskoka could have an extra reason to celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday next year.
A collaboration for Canada’s 150th anniversary of Confederation is bringing people and places together to build community and activate a groundswell of local initiatives, activities and events.
The Community Fund for Canada’s 150th is an effort led by Community Foundations of Canada and the national network of community foundations.
Muskoka Community Foundation will be partnering with the Community Fund for Canada’s 150th with access to matching funding to increase MCF’s granting impact through the Smart & Caring Muskoka Fund.
Muskoka has a pool of $20,000 available to award applications for grants of up to $3,000. Any Projects that meet the fund eligibility criteria will be considered.
“Muskoka Community Foundation is thrilled that we can mark this milestone year by deepening our impact in building a Smart & Caring Muskoka as part of a Smart & Caring Nation through our participation in the Community Fund for Canada’s 150th,” says Marg French, Chair of Muskoka Community Foundation.
The Muskoka Community Foundation will give priority to projects that work to build vibrant and healthy communities and advance Muskoka Community Foundation’s aim to create a Smart & Caring Muskoka. Muskoka Community Foundation will be accepting applications for the Community Fund for Canada’s 150th until Sept. 23, 2016.
